Subject
The Triune God
Description

THE TRIUNE GOD  – ( The Trinity )
1st John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, The Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these  three are one

There are several religions in the world; each of them has a
founder, a sacred book, specific beliefs and practices. Christianity
is one of the major religions in America; however, it consists of
many different denominations.
All of the Christian religions believe in God, Jesus, and the
Holy Spirit. This collective spiritual entity is known as the Trinity,
a word not found in the Scriptures. This term originated at the
Nicean Council in 323 AD. It must be noted, however, that there
are several Scriptural passages that teach the Trinity, or Triune
God.
Our study today, will follow a seminar rather than a sermon    delivery study, using as a subject The Triune God.
Admittedly, this subject was lifted from a book published by
the Evangelical Training Association of which I am currently
certified to teach some of its offering and that book was used for
a class in our Bible College and Seminary. As presented in this
biblical seminar for today’s sermon, a congregational interactive
modality will be used. Hence, volunteers will be used to read the
Scriptures used in this study.
The study will lift three aspects of the Triune God, namely:
a. Documentation on the Triune God        b. Biblical Periods of the Trinity        c. The Trinity in human affairs.
When studying the origin and nature of some idea or force,
it is necessary to have a reliable source. In this regard, the study
of the Triune God requires such a source, which is the Bible.
In this regard, the crucial question becomes – how came the Bible?
Related inquiries include: is it just another book, is it the Hebrew
history, or is it the Word of God. Prior to looking at the earlier
three aspects of the subject, attention must be focused on the

Bible. How did it originate?
1. Peter 2nd Peter 1:21
2. Paul 2nd Timothy 3:16
3. Hebrews 1:1-2
These Scriptures clearly show that God was the author and
holy men were the penmen. Credibility of the Bible is shown,
further, in two references involving Jesus; first, He read from the
script in announcing his call into the ministry and, secondly, he
told Dives that his brothers had Moses and the Prophets.
Let us, now, turn to the earlier identified aspects of the
Trinity, the first of which is Documentation of the Trinity
1. Genesis —- Spirt of God moved,   Let us make man        2. Isaiah …….. Holy, Holy, Holy 6th Chapter …birth and                                    crucifixion of Jesus… 66 Chapters        3. Matthew 3:16  Spirit, Jesus, God … my beloved Son… 4. Jesus……. John… ye see me have seen the Father 14                                     …. Comforter 16
The second aspect is the biblical periods of the Trinity:
1. God –   Creator ……… Genesis to Malachi        2. God –   Son ………….. Matthew to Acts 1        3. God  – Holy Spirit ….. Acts 2 to Revelation 22
The third aspect is the Trinity in Human Affairs
1. God is the provided … life, substances, and termination
2. Jesus is redeemer, advocate, and heavenly host at the
Last Judgment

3. Holy Spirit, teacher, helper, and sealer
In closing, Friends have you embraced the Trinity in your life?
Amen.
